Fisher-Price has been created 1930 in New York by Hermann Fisher, who was previously employed in a manufactory, Irving Price, Margaret Evans Price and Hellen Schelle. The name Fisher-Price was established by combining two surnames of the founders. Their first toys were the “16 hopefuls” and involved some darling ducks, like Dr. Doodle and Granny Doodle. Early at beginning, toys were made of heavy steel, which was resistant and went well for solid use. The fine touches were finished by using colourful lithographic lables. Mrs. Irving Price was the first Art Director and designed toys based on her own books of her childhood. You might be interested in Vtech toys.
Fisher-Prices most popular lines are Little People toys, a baby and toddler toys series: A multicultural group of different characters, the Bubble Mower: a child size version that brings out bubbles, Laugh and Learn toys which teaches basic learning concepts with fun, Dora the Explorer and last but not least: Thomas and Friends which trains children to develop their motor engineering skills along with their constructiveness and vision.
